It was a story about body shaming and self-acceptance. The scars, the freckles ,the dull skin and the plump body shape of the little girl never fitted society’s beauty standards. Encountering numerous of teasing and judgement in life, she constantly felt like an inferior goldfish that were trapped in the tank. She once tried to escape but there was nothing she could do to stop people from making fun of her. She was drowned in desperation caused by low self-esteem. However, she realized that it was difficult and even impossible to change others’ mind , but it was feasible to change her own. Therefore , she drew a crown for the unconfident girl in the past and got rid of the restrictions from the “standards”. Eventually, she learned to appreciate her appearance despite its’ flaws.
